Pros of A-iPower SUA12000E

First, the generator is built very solidly. It is a strudy and reliable unit which many users have reported to use for long hours without any problems.

Quite a few people have used it during the hurricanes Irma and Dorian, reporting good results.

The run time of this generator is a definite plus. Depending on how much load you put on the generator, you should get on average between 8-12 hours of continuous runtime.

The engine is Chinese made just like it is in the case with most of the portable generators out there. That’s not something which should detract you from purchasing this gen. In fact, even the better-known brands such as Generac use the engines made in China. This is an industry-standard these days and something which lowers down the prices of generators without too much compromise on quality.

After comparing the A-iPower generators with other gens we would say that this is a reliable line of generators which often outperforms the competitors.

This is especially important given their lower price tag.

A-Ipower SUA12000E is one of the cheapest 10000-watt generators you can get, costing much less than Generac, Westinghouse or other home backup generators.

This is probably the biggest selling point for this genset, making it ideal for those who only need to use a generator sporadically.

Downsides

If there’s anything we don’t particularly like about this generator is its noise level. Open frame portable generators are generally noisy beasts and you can’t expect them to run whisper quietly. However, some manufacturers solved the noise issue by equipping the engines with more sophisticated mufflers (which add up to the price too). Most of the Chinese made engines come with standard mufflers which are not the most efficient in blocking the noise. At higher loads, the A-iPower SUA12000E can become quite loud.

On the other hand, the noise is not something you’re probably going to worry about if you need a home backup generator to protect your family and household during a storm.

Is A-iPower SUA12000E Worth Your Money?

Numerous positive reviews this generator gets on Amazon prove that most of the users are generally happy with it. It is a sturdy, reliable and very powerful portable generator, good for emergency home power supply or demanding construction jobs. It is also much cheaper than many other gens of this size. If you need a good ultra-duty portable generator which doesn’t cost an arm and a leg – the A-iPower SUA12000E is worth your consideration.
